OREANDA-NEWS. The company "Hyundai Motor CIS", the official importer and distributor of brand Hyundai in Russia, sold more than 1 million units since its founding in 2007. At the end of August of 2015 the figure of sold cars reached the mark of 1.059 million 526 units. Hyundai's market share rose from 2.7% in 2007 to 9.9% in the period from January to August of 2015; the leading positions in key segments are held consistently, informed the press service of "Hyundai Motor CIS".

A significant share among sold Hyundai cars is occupied by the bestseller Solaris - half a million car found its owner in August of 2015. This result was achieved in a record 4.5 years from the start of the sales of model, which is an unprecedented success among foreign cars in Russia.

At the end of eight months of 2015 sales of Hyundai in Russia were 104279 units (-11.2%), by ensuring the Korean brand with the leadership in the market of foreign cars. Best-selling model is Hyundai Solaris - from the beginning of the year the most popular foreign car in Russia was chosen by 74,534 customers, which corresponds to the level of the last year. The second by sales among Hyundai models was a crossover ix35, which was sold in amount of 12,840 units (-43.2%). Business i40 sedan closes the top-three with 4650 sold cars (+ 2.4%). Recall that in June in the Russian market sales of the updated i40 started, which increased the demand for this model - monthly in Russia it is sold more new Hyundai i40 in Russia, than in an average per month in 2014.
