OREANDA-NEWS. September 11, 2015. National Rating Agency has affirmed its national scale ‘A-’ credit rating on Magadan Regional Fund for Entrepreneurship Promotion NPO (MRFEP). MRFEP was assigned NRA’s national scale ‘A-’ credit rating on Nov. 1, 2012. The rating was affirmed on Sept. 15, 2014.

The rating affirmation is based on MRFEP’s important social role in its home region and strong support from the Government of Magadan Oblast. MRFEP’s credit risks are low owing to the good quality of its loan guarantee portfolio (with no payment delinquencies at the moment). We also view as positive that MRFEP’s guarantee approval decisions are controlled by the regional administration.

The rating is constrained by the loan guarantee portfolio decrease, resulting from the relatively low demand for loan guarantee services, economic and geographical characteristics of the region, and certain requirements regarding the SME sector development priorities.
