OREANDA-NEWS. September 09, 2015. Belarusian capital hosted the First joint meeting of the Human Resources Development Council and the Fourteenth meeting of the Working Group to work with the ITU.

Director General of the RCC Executive Committee Mr. Nurudin Mukhitdinov explained why Minsk had been chosen as the venue for such a large-scale event and what served as an impetus for the organization of a joint meeting.

- Communications Administration of the Republic of Belarus, being a full member of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications, takes an active part in its work. The experience of the Republic of Belarus in personnel training will be useful for the RCC. It is known that Belarus sets high requirements to specialists in various fields, including IT sector, on the labor market. At the same time, the government of the country pays much attention to personnel training and retraining issues; innovative teaching methods are being actively put into practice.

Mr. Nurudin Mukhitdinov also stressed a high level of the organization and conduct of regional and international activities in the Republic of Belarus.

Head of the RCC Executive Committee noted that Commission for International Cooperation Coordination is actively working within the framework of the RCC. The Working Group to work with the ITU is its working body and takes an active part in the promotion of regional initiatives approved by the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-14, Dubai).

- Taking into account that one of the important RCC initiatives is “Introduction of training technologies and methods using telecommunications / ICTs for human capacity building”, it was decided to hold a joint meeting, - Mr. Nurudin Mukhitdinov explained.
