OREANDA-NEWS. Production of the new crossover Lada XRAY starts on December 15th and on January 31st cars will start to go to showrooms of authorized dealers. Thus, the first customers will be able to become owners of new items in the middle of February, according to the portal "Kolesa.ru."

Meanwhile, the preparation of full-scale production of Lada XRAY goes according to plan: the car has received approval to start the main line and the serial process. Last week, the production of pilot lot of Lada XRAY passed another milestone. All key indicators of the quality of produced cars were highly appreciated in accordance with the standards of Renault-Nissan, and accessories for the manufacture of cars have changed status from an experimental to a production one. This week on the main conveyor it will be assembled other 10 cars Xray, which will join the initial lot of 500 units; they will be produced before the start of full scale production.

Recall that recently within the exhibition Moscow Off-Road Show 2015 Lada XRAY was presented the official dealers of the brand. The crossover was equipped with 114-horsepower engine and manual transmission, but it will be offered two engines future buyers: a basic with a capacity of 106 hp, as well as "top" engine 1.8, producing 123 hp. As transmission it will be offered mechanical and robotic one. Initially, the crossover will be presented only in mono drive performance, but eventually Lada XRAY can

receive all-wheel drive. As for the interior of SUV, it is now extremely close to the production version, but it will be launched to the assembly line at full capacity another version of the plastic.
