OREANDA-NEWS. The company KIA Motors Rus sold in Russia 1 million cars since its founding in 2009. Thus, less than for 6 years KIA joined the "elite club" of companies that have managed to sell more than a million cars in Russia. As the press service of KIA Motors Rus informed, since 2009 the share of KIA on the Russian car market has doubled. Thus, for the first year of work of the official distributor of KIA Motors Corporation in Russia KIA's market share was 4.8%, while in January-July of 2015 it reached 9.8%, and in some months of the year it exceeded 10%. Through the efforts of KIA Motors Rus and dealers, as well as the successful

implementation of the long-term strategy KIA in Russia, the brand became a leader in terms of sales among all foreign car brands. At the end of 2014 the research of analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" have shown that the KIA has the highest degree of customer loyalty in Russia among all the mass brands.

The KIA Rio sedan car, which became the  millionth sold KIA car, produced in Russia, at a plant in St. Petersburg. KIA Rio is an absolute leader by sales in the model range of the brand. From January to August of 2015 Rio cars found 60,828 buyers in Russia, which is more by 1.3% than in the same period of the previous year. Sales of Rio in August were 8989 units, an increase compared to August of 2014 was 49%, despite an overall decline in the Russian car market. Totally since 2009 in Russia it was sold about 418,000 sedans and hatchbacks KIA Rio.
