OREANDA-NEWS. Russian dealers of Toyota began sales of the updated SUV Toyota Land Cruiser Prado with a completely new engine 2.8-liter turbo diesel. The vehicle is available in six trim levels, it is still in a five-seater and seven-seater performance. Prices of updated SUV start at 1.999 million rubles, informed the press service of "Toyota Motor".

The all-new turbo diesel engine of 2.8 liters develops the capacity of 177 hp at 3400 rev / min (+4 horsepower in compare with the precursor). The maximum torque grew by 40 Nm, by 450 Nm in the operating range 1600-2400 rev / min. At the same time fuel consumption in all modes of motion decreased - Toyota Land Cruiser Prado consumes with the new engine 7.4 l / 100 km in the combined cycle. The line of power units of the updated SUV also includes a 4.0-liter V6 petrol engine and 2.7-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine. For all presented engines it is available a 6-speed automatic transmission, which improved the dynamics of SUV and it permitted to reduce the fuel consumption at cruising speeds.
