This workshop made the first part - roof panel for Nissan Qashqai (the company is implemented the pre-production of this model). In the nearest future it will begin the production of panels for the Nissan X-Trail, as well as for all other models, which produces plant - Teana, Murano, Pathfinder.

The total area of the new plant is 9200 square meters and in a warehouse area of 4,300 square meters can store up to 50 000 stamped parts, the staff schedule involves working of 34 employees per shift, the first time the shop will work in one shift, informed the press service of the company.

"The launch of the stamping production at the Nissan plant in St. Petersburg gives us the opportunity to become a full-fledged plant in terms of the full cycle of production”, - said Dmitry Mikhailov, the CEO of Nissan plant in St. Petersburg. – “It provides an opportunity to reduce many of the costs to avoid logistics costs for the transportation of dimensional body parts, optimize production, reduce inventory of press parts, as they can be stamped in complete synchronization with the assembly line of cars, which in its turn leads to the creation of additional highly skilled jobs. "

By the opening of the new production shop, in the difficult, the crisis year, Nissan showed that it plans to strengthen further its position in the Russian automotive market, which is a priority for the company.

Today, in addition to the stamping shop, the company has its own body shop, painting shop, final assembly shop, shop of plastic products. The following group of details was localized: metal body parts, bumpers, windows, seats, exhaust systems, brake and fuel pipes.
