Experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" say that even with the optimistic scenario the Russian car market in 2015 will be reduced by about 30% to 1.67 million units. As for brand structure of the market, then the leader will continue to be the domestic LADA, sales of which this year may be little more than 300 thousand cars.

Despite the drop in sales, the share of AVTOVAZ in the Russian market could grow to 20%.

Based on an assessment of current trends in the automobile industry of the country and in the Russian market, given the consumer sentiment of Russians, analysts prepared a report "Changing consumer behavior in times of crisis". According to their findings, today it is possible to predict what other brands, in addition to LADA, under these conditions have chances this year to step into the sales mark of 100,000 vehicles.

There are only four brands. Korean brands Hyundai and KIA until the end of 2015 can (individually) to sell about 160 thousand cars and to get a market share of at least 10%. The French Renault and Japanese Nissan will also overcome the mark of 100 thousand units.

The top-ten of the Russian market, according to the emerging trends, at the end of 2015 also will include: the Japanese Toyota, the German Volkswagen, the Czech Skoda, the German Mercedes-Benz and the Japanese Datsun. However, these five won’t overcome the mark of 100 thousand units. Their market size will be in the range from 40 thousand to 90 thousand units.
