US propane stocks expected to rise by 1.44mn bl

OREANDA-NEWS. September 02, 2015. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) is expected to report a 1.44mn bl build in propane stockpiles for the week that ended 28 August, according to an Argus survey.

The 15 market participants surveyed called for a build ranging between 1mn bl to 1.8mn bl.

US inventories currently stand at 95.724mn bl, or 48.2pc above the five-year average.

Spot propane prices were mixed ahead of the EIA's inventory report, amid volatility in the energy complex. LST traded between 41.5-43?/USG, up about 0.625 from the previous day's midpoint.

EPC propane fell from 43/USG to 41.625/USG in intraday trade.

Conway, Kansas, propane rose in early trade, reaching a high of 38.25?/USG, 2.75? stronger than the previous day's highest trade, but traders exited the market within the first hour of trade.
