The model has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine developed on the latest generation of engines with technology MINI TwinPower Turbo. The engine with a maximum power of 170 kW / 231 hp and a torque of 320 Newton meters accelerates the new MINI John Cooper Works from zero to 100 km / h in 6.1 seconds. Even in the basic configuration the new MINI John Cooper Works is equipped with 6-speed sports automatic transmission Steptronic in the Russian market.

Another part of the standard equipment of the new MINI John Cooper Works – is powerful sports brakes developed in collaboration with Brembo specifically for this model.
