OREANDA-NEWS. In the course of the International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS 2015), Vnesheconombank, the United Aircraft Corporation, JSC Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company and SuperJet International S.p.A. entered into a Memorandum on Cooperation.

On behalf of VEB the Memorandum was signed by First Deputy Chairman - Member of the Board Petr Fradkov, on behalf of the United Aviation Corporation - by President Yury Slyusar, on behalf of JSC Sukhoi Civil Aircraft - by Ilja Tarasenko and on behalf of Superjet International S.p.A by Director General Nazario Cauceglia.

Under the Memorandum the parties are to be responsible for organizing funding of a project to supply ten Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft made by JSC Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company to one of Mexico's largest airlines - Interjet (ABC Aerolineas SA de C.V) with the use of a credit-leasing scheme. Before being supplied to a final customer, the aircraft are to be customized at Superjet International in Venice (Italy).

VEB has been funding export supplies of Superjet 100 aircraft since 2013. Earlier Vnesheconombank and the consortium of international banks reached an agreement on funding supplies of twenty aircraft to Mexico's Interjet airline against insurance coverage of such export insurance agencies as SACE (the Italian Republic), Coface (the French Republic) and JSC EXIAR. Natixis acted as the agent bank for the transaction. As of today, a syndicate of banks has funded the supply of fifteen aircraft. A supply of the five remaining aircraft is expected to be funded in 2015-2016.

The implementation of the Memorandum on organizing funding the supplies of ten additional aircraft to Mexico is instrumental in promoting products of the Russian aviation industry in the Latin American market and it will also create prospects for enhancing partnership between Russian exporters and international importers of Russian-made aircraft.
