OREANDA-NEWS. The All-Russian Competition on Financial Market and Fundamentals of Consumer Awareness for senior pupils is to be held from 1 September 2015 to 31 March 2016 supported by the Bank of Russia. The competition is organised by the Institute of Stock Market and Management, Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing and the Non-government Civil Right Organisation Russian Financial Consumer Protection Union.

The competition is aimed at discovering and improving creativity and interest for scientific research and knowledge in pupils, assisting in their occupational guidance, creating conditions for discovering and supporting gifted children in Russian regions, upbringing highly qualified personnel for the country's financial markets and the national system of consumer rights protection.

Pupils' participation in the competition contributes to higher financial literacy and consumer knowledge extension among the population, upbringing literate and honest entrepreneurs.

Pupils of primary and secondary vocational educational institutions can participate in the competition if they continue the educational programme of (complete) secondary general education corresponding to grades 9, 10 and 11 of the general education school.

The competition is held annually. Previous competitions were attended by over 34 thousand pupils from 83 Russian regions.
