OREANDA-NEWS. Today, on the 25th of August, Donavia Airlines met its millionth passenger of the year 2015 on the way which showed double growth of passenger flow. The millionth passenger was fixed by the reservations system on the flight Rostov-on-Don — Simferopol.

Igor Kosov, the citizen of Crimea, became the jubilee air traveler. He was flying out by flight D9/SU 5352 from Rostov-on-Don to Simferopol and, while passing the check-in, found out that he became the “jubilee” passenger. JSC Donavia Director General Alexander Steblin congratulated Igor and provided him an opportunity to use the services of business-hall of the airport.

— I am so lucky for the first time in my life, though I fly often, now I am coming back from the business travel, — said Igor Kosov. — I am very glad with your company and it's a pleasure to work with you.

Donavia notes that in seven months of the year 2015 more than 84000 people used services of Donavia to fly to Simferopol from all base airports. It is 230% more than last year's figure. Crimea way became one of the most demanded among the citizens of the south of Russia in 2015.

“We meet the millionth passenger in August as we did last year. It's a measure of stability and continuation of company promotion for us, in spite of such a difficult time for aviation industry. Last year our passenger flow increased by 30%. It gives us an opportunity to concentrate on developing the service according to the standards of “Aeroflot” Group of Companies, and not on the further increase of passengers number”, JSC Donavia Director General Alexander Steblin commented on the event.
