Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation visited PJSC TATNEFT’s Tire Complex
The delegation composed of the following: O.I.Bochkaryov, Deputy Chairman of the Military-Industrial Commission under the Government of the Russian Federation, E.M.Kudryashov, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport and Special Mechanical Engineering under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, R.A.Milkamanavicius, Head of Division of the Department of Transport and Special Mechanical Engineering under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
Tour of the PJSC TATNEFT’s Tire Complex started with the examination of new tire manufacturing equipment at PJSC Nizhnekamskshina. Robotized assembly complexes VMI and MAXX, modern shaper-vulcanizers of Herbert and NRM and control line of tire uniformity under new quality inspection were shown to the guests. New technologies allow manufacturing whole new tires under KAMA EURO and Viatti brand names, fulfilling high level requirements of car manufacturers. Currently the plant’s products are delivered to domestic automobile plants and foreign automobile plants localized in Russia.
The event attendees were acquainted with the process of all steel tires manufacturing at Nizhnekamsk All Steel Tires Plant Ltd., as well as with the formula of natural rubber based rubber compounds, the process of rubber compound manufacturing at the stock preparation shop. When visiting the plant’s shops, the guests were able to ensure that the processes of ingredients weighing and rubber mixing, rubber coating of metal cords, components and tires yield, as well as their final assembly are automatized and carried out using close control equipment with minimal human intervention.
The delegation’s specific interest was attracted by the quality control system for output products – visual and roentgen control, as well as control for tire uniformity and geometry. This range of measures on in-plant quality control allows bringing to the market dependable and approved products. Currently all steel tires demonstrate the results of 250-300 thousands of kilometers of lifecycle. KAMA all steel tires design was originally providing retreading option, which increases tire lifecycle up to 500 thousands of kilometers.
The outdoor event attendees made aware of KAMA all steel tires construction details. In comparison with composite design tires, all steel tires allow saving up to 8% of fuel, increase transport's bearing force up to 8%, increase wear resistance, improve speed performance, and extend lifecycle. Today the plant manufactures 57 schedule-sizes of all steel tires, including 20 schedule-sizes manufactured by off-take system for Dutch company, and premium-brand tires.
Within the framework of the visit there was held a meeting, in which the representatives of Military-Industrial Commission and the management of OOO MC Tatneft-Neftehim and OOO “Kama” Scientific and Technical Center discussed the issues of common interest.
