OREANDA-NEWS. August 28, 2015.  Ford won in six categories in the “2015 Best Cars” sold in Brazil, according to the Estado de S. Paulo newspaper one of the most important in the country. Ford was the big winner in the newspaper car supplement named Jornal do Carro. The New Ka, New Ka+, New Fiesta, New Fiesta Sedan, Ranger and Fusion all earned first place finishes in their segments.

The survey elected the best vehicles sold in the country taking into consideration items like price, equipment packages, design, drivability, finishing, powertrain, fuel economy, weight to power ratio, among others.

The New Ka 1.0 won the entry-level car segment due to its powerful engine, modern design and overall quality according to the newspaper. The Ka+ obtained top scores in the entry-level sedan segment due to its both 1.0 and 1.5 engines performance. 

The New Fiesta 4 and 5-Doors earned in the hatch and sedan premium segments, respectively, by offering exclusive features like ESP and dual-clutch transmission besides having outstanding drivability.  The Ranger was for the fourth time in a row elected the best mid-size pickup due to its diverse engine availability and good performance.

In the large sedan category, Fusion repeated as champion especially because it has the most complete lineup among all competitors, including an AWD version. It was also chosen the second best car sold in the country according to the readers opinions among all categories.
