Sberbank and UAC Capital Entered Into Cooperation Agreement
OREANDA-NEWS. Sberbank and UAC Capital entered into a cooperation agreement during MAKS 2015 International Aviation and Space Salon. The agreement was signed by Herman Gref, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank and Yuri Slyusar, President of UAC.
Cooperation will focus on improving the conditions for structuring deals on the primary market for new types of Russian civil aeroplanes, including through UAC Capital's provision of guarantees of the residual value of aircraft.
"One of the key instruments to stimulate primary sales of new civil aircraft is by providing buyers with guarantees of residual value," commented Herman Gref. "This mechanism makes the offering of Russian aircraft more competitive. UAC is a strategic partner with whom we are continuously working on developing our cooperation in various areas."
"The Sberbank team's unique expertise and experience will help us best use the budgetary funds allocated for the purpose of bringing the terms of sale of Russian aircraft into line with global parameters," said Yuri Slyusar.
UAC Capital was founded this summer to provide residual value guarantees for Russian civil aircraft, namely SSJ 100s and later, MC-21s. Guarantees will be issued for the first 100 aircraft produced.
