GOS Systems Expands Mobile Telephony Service
In addition to its secure communications and intelligence gathering business, GOS also operates as a fully functioning MVNO facility (a public mobile network using the network and roaming agreements of a leading British telecommunications provider). The facility offers GOS both customer ownership and recurring revenues from subscription services. Additionally, the facility allows GOS to offer its commercial and public sector customers a wide range of enhanced security features on the SIM card.
The Company is pleased to announce that GOS has entered into a wholesale commercial agreement to supply Fuss Free Phones (FFP) with mobile telephony solutions.
Fuss Free Phones provides low cost, easy-to-use, palm sized mobile phones designed to appeal to the visually impaired, elderly and vulnerable people. With a GOS SIM card, phones are individually produced to a choice of design and colour with specific security features, including call screening and handling. Users can instantly connect through the GOS virtual mobile network and also optionally via a UK based FFP telephonist service to connect to friends, relatives, emergency services or any pre-set number at the press of a button.
Jamie Ridealgh, Chief Executive Officer of GOS, said:
"Our partnership with Fuss Free Phones is a significant step for GOS and we expect this will lead to further enhancement of the GOS product offering and its revenue base. Drawing on the existing MVNO arrangements, GOS is able to offer mobile telephony solutions for any size of customer in multiple market segments. In mobile telephony, we see an opportunity to work with new and existing customers of GOS, and this is expected to significantly increase utilisation of our network, with the benefit starting to materialise immediately."
