OREANDA-NEWS. August 27, 2015. Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk instructed the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine jointly with the Antimonopoly Committee to check "the correspondence between falling oil prices on global markets and reducing the cost of fuel by Ukrainian gasoline stations". He accentuated during an expanded Government’s meeting.

The Prime Minister considers "positive" that the current Brent crude oil price is \\$ 43 per barrel: "For Ukraine, the fall in oil prices is an advantage."

"Objectively, it pulled down the rate of the Russian national currency. Russia and other neighbouring markets are facing very serious problems related to financial, banking stability," he added.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk recalled that crude oil affects gas prices: "In case such pricing environment for oil preserves, it will enable Ukraine to buy natural gas at lower value, which would directly affect the final account regarding tariff for natural gas".
