Eurowings pilot positions now open to external applicants
OREANDA-NEWS. August 27, 2015. Eurowings Europe is opening up its positions for new cockpit staff to external applicants as of today. The openings have been advertised within Lufthansa Group since 11 August – and there is an abundant number of applicants. Numerous internal applications have been received from pilots working for airlines within the Lufthansa Group as well pilots undergoing training at Lufthansa’s flight school in Bremen.
The number of internal applications for first officers has already met existing needs for the first year while demand for additional staff at different starting dates remains strong. As planned the internal recruitment process continues to run in parallel to the external advertisement. Preference will continue to be given to internal applicants.“We’re delighted that our internal offer was met with such an enthusiastic response right from the start. In fact we are now confident we can fill the vacancies with highly qualified pilots,” commented Karl Ulrich Garnadt, Member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG and Chairman of the Board at Lufthansa Passage. Established in Austria, Eurowings Europe offers new pilots attractive career opportunities and competitive compensation packages.
Successful candidates can look forward to working in an Airbus A320 cockpit environment. As of March 2016, Eurowings Europe will recruit approximately twelve new pilots per month. With a rapid expansion of its flight operations the new Eurowings strives to become the third largest low-cost carrier in Europe.
