OREANDA-NEWS. Ulyanovsk plant will expand the range of UAZ Patriot due to a new modification of 3170. The SUV will keep the frame construction, all-wheel drive transmission and it will get rich equipment and original design.

According to the portal "Kolesa.ru", we don’t speak about an absolutely new model but UAZ 3170 will be different significantly from the usual Patriot both externally, so in terms of equipment. The car will receive a completely new design of the front part, which is likely to look more aggressively. Surely designers of UAZ will refresh back but the changes won’t be so radical.

Even the basic versions of the new model will have rich equipment. There is no information about specific options yet, but, probably, the perspective system Vision Adas will be among them that can recognize road signs and alert the driver by a sharp movement changing. UAZ 3170 can also get a new engine with improved performance and a smaller working volume.

As the model 3170 will be different significantly from the current restyled Patriot by design and equipment, both cars are planning to be produced in parallel, based on different customers. At the moment, it makes free capacity for the model 3170 and the production is optimized.
