OREANDA-NEWS.  During the first day of the MAKS-2015 international aviation and space salon, Valery Lukyanenko, member of VTB Bank Management Board and Vladimir Porkhachyov, Director General of Bazalt Research and Production Association (NPO Bazalt), signed a cooperation agreement.

The parties agreed on key principles and guidelines for their interaction, as they work to identify possible areas for joint projects. VTB will consider providing a loan facility to finance the company’s production programmes and investment projects, and will act as NPO Bazalt’s financial adviser.

The agreement opens up great prospects for continued joint work between VTB Bank and NPO Bazalt.

The Bazalt Research and Production Association (NPO Bazalt) designs and manufactures advanced types of ammunition for the Army, Air Force and Navy. Its products are used by the armies and navies of many countries. In total, Bazalt’s designers have created more than 830 types of ammunition currently in use by the military.
NPO Bazalt has three design offices, a research centre, a science and technology division, a mechanical, assembly and testing division in Krasnoarmeysk, a mechanical assembly unit in Tula and a plant in Nerekhta.
