OREANDA-NEWS. August 26, 2015. eMountain biking, still a newcomer as a sporting activity, is increasingly stepping into the spotlight in time for the Eurobike show and is one of the trend topics at the leading international trade fair in Friedrichshafen. In addition to the right drive system for eMTBs Bosch eBike Systems has now launched a dedicated Internet platform for eMountain bikers – www.bosch-uphillflow.de. For the microsite's launch the company has focussed in the “Uphill Flow II” on Alpine cycling fun in the impressive scenery of the Dolomites.

Mountain biking with an electric tailwind
Mountain biking has established itself as a sports discipline since the late 1970s. After a good 40 years the time for the next stage in its evolution has come. eMountain biking has enriched mountain biking by adding another facet and a wide range of opportunities for cyclists, bike manufacturers and the tourist trade. As a pioneer in this new discipline that combines sport, nature and technology Bosch eBike Systems promotes mountain biking with electrical assistance and helps eMountain bikers to improve their cycling skills.

“Uphill Flow II” video – Unlimited cycling pleasure
Following last year's interactive video “Uphill Flow I,” Bosch now presents “Uphill Flow II,” a further development that is something special. A little over 12 minutes long, it features eMountain bikers in breathtaking Alpine landscapes, free and independent, focussed on the essentials. The new film, with trials world champion Stefan Schlie as its presenter, combines impressive images, terrific tricks and lots of good ideas. “On an eBike,” he explains, “the right uphill technique is important for maintaining the flow on the ascent. Only those who have mastered the technique can use the electric assistance to achieve a flow that is incredible cycling fun.”
The lavishly produced high-resolution video with shots taken by drones shows how eMountain bikers can perform at their best on mountain trails while paying due regard to other trail users and the environment.

www.bosch-uphillflow.de – The new eMTB hub goes online
“Uphill Flow II“” is a major component of the new Bosch eBike Systems microsite. In future, www.bosch-uphillflow.de will serve as a central platform for eMountain bikers on the Internet. For the launch, 24 clips deal solely with the fascination of eMountain biking. Claus Fleischer, head of the Bosch eBike Systems Product Division, is convinced that “the video and the microsite make it clear how varied eMountain biking can be. eMountaing biking, a trendy discipline, is opening up a wide range of options for the eBike industry. We are developing additional market segments, serving new target groups and developing concepts for tourism. They are our starting points.”
