US propane stocks expected to rise by 1.3mn bl

OREANDA-NEWS. August 26, 2015. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) is expected to report a 1.3mn bl build in US propane inventories for the week ended 21 August, according to an Argus survey.

The 17 market participants called for a build ranging between 700,000 bl to 1.8mn bl. Some observers noted that slowdowns in exports last week because of equipment issues at the Nederland, Texas, export terminal will likely result in a larger build.

Propane at the US Gulf coast weakened in intraday trade, while outright values were slightly higher session-on-session, mirroring movements seen in the crude market.

LST propane ended the session valued at 35.625?/USG, down 0.875? from its open, while EPC propane softened by 0.625? in intraday trade, ending the session last sold at 36?/USG.

Conway, Kansas, propane traded between 32-32.625?/USG, at parity with the previous day's value.
