A company to save the world: Kaspersky Lab releases its first ‘Citizenship Report’
Eugene Kaspersky, chairman and CEO of Kaspersky Lab, said: “This year our company turned 18 – the age of the onset adulthood in much of the world – so we thought it a fitting time to publish our first ‘citizenship’ report. It covers all the socially-oriented and charitable projects we’ve worked on over the last year. I think it’s a great thing that the company has always been driven by a higher purpose – our ultimate goal has always been to save and protect the world from all sorts of cyberthreats and make the use of computers and other digital and networked devices safe and secure for everyone. But helping, giving and volunteering are also an important part of our spirit, and I’m very proud that we help our communities grow stronger and make the world a better place.”
The Kaspersky Lab citizenship report contains three main sections – people, technology and knowledge. Each of these embodies distinguishing characteristics of the company’s brand – human perspective, spirit for invention and sharper intelligence.
The people section highlights the principles of the company’s HR policies as well as the social benefits for employees all over the world, which create all the conditions for them to be an active member of society. In the technology part of the report, Kaspersky Lab provides information about company’s technologies, which help make the world a safer place. Finally the knowledge section contains information about Kaspersky Lab’s unique expertise in cybersecurity. Kaspersky Lab generously shares its knowledge with different audiences – the professional community, customers, governments and law enforcement agencies as well as the general public – to increase cybersecurity awareness.
