OREANDA-NEWS. The new generation of Mitsubishi L200 in the Russian market will be presented with a new turbocharged diesel 2.4-liter and two settings: standard (154 hp at 3400 rev / min) and high power (181 horsepower at 3500 rev/min).

As it is noted, the engine 4N15 in the Russian market will be presented for the first time. It is a very economic 4-cylinder power unit with 2.4-liter, it has all-aluminum construction, two overhead camshafts (DOHC), 16 valve, common rail system of high pressure, reduced exhaust emissions and the lowest degree of compression in its class 15.5: 1. Such a low degree of compression permits to use an aluminum cylinder block and other light materials, which ensures a considerable reduction of weight, noise and vibrations and improving the overall efficiency.

In a pair to Diesel MIVEC engine the company MMC has developed the two new reinforced gearboxes, which will be presented at the fifth generation model L200. It is 6-speed manual transmission and 5-speed automatic transmission with sequential mode «Sport», which is also used in cars Pajero.

The new L200 is equipped with systems ASTC (Stability), HSA (Hill-start assist uphill), TSA (Stability for a trailer). Pickup allows the traction of 3,100 kg, which is one of the best performance for vehicles in this segment.
