Eaton wins Zinnov Awards 2015 for Gender Diversity at the Workplace
Eaton has a well-defined Inclusion and Diversity strategy globally and has implemented robust initiatives to accomplish the Inclusion and Diversity goals. One such initiative has been the launch of Inclusion ERGs (Eaton Resource Groups). These ERGs are WAVE – Women Adding Value at Eaton and ENGAGE – Eaton Next Generation Achieving Goals and Excelling. WAVE focuses on enhancing Gender Diversity for Women and has active participation from global and India leadership team. Through WAVE, Eaton has launched initiatives for talent attraction, development and retention.

To achieve the gender diversity goals, Eaton is driving multiple initiatives. It has programs that aim at encouraging multifaceted women engineering talent in India through educational scholarships at both undergraduate as well as post-graduate levels. Eaton has focused recruitment drives which are conducted at colleges for hiring early women talent and create a good women talent pipeline for the organization. Eaton also focuses on gender diversity enhancement at leadership positions. Mentor-mentee programs are organized for developing high potential women talent. Multiple events are organized for interactions with senior leaders and networking opportunities. Women networking events are conducted to provide opportunities to employees to network with industry leaders and peers. Various initiatives are taken to maintain the work-life balance to the employees.
A team from Eaton Information Technology Center (EITC) led by Viswanathan Krishnamurthi, vice president – IT, Asia Pacific, Eaton received the award during the awards ceremony conducted at Taj Vivanta in Bangalore on 16th of July 2015. This team has also worked persistently to represent Eaton throughout the selection process.
