OREANDA-NEWS. August 20, 2015. Doosan Yonkang Foundation (Chairman Y.H. Park) announced on August 17 that it has published “Science and Technology for a Better future: Learning from Japan’s Science Education,” an anthology of travel writings submitted by 38 science teachers in elementary, middle and high schools who went on the 9th Science Teacher’s Study Tour in January this year.

The 250-plus page anthology is a collection of vivid stories written by the science teachers after their seven-day trip to the industrial sites in Korea and science, and technology and educational facilities including Osaka Science Museum in Japan.

The anthology will be distributed to institutions across the nation, including public libraries, university libraries, and the Office of Education.

Since 2007, Doosan Yonkang Foundation has offered tours to overseas academic facilities for teachers selected as Science Teacher of the Year. A total of 341 teachers have participated in the program so far.
