OREANDA-NEWS. August 20, 2015. Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has appointed Robert J. Fleming vice president of cyber, unattended systems and division strategy for the company's Rolling Meadows-based land and self protection systems (L&SPS) division, effective immediately.
In this newly defined position, Fleming is responsible for the development, production and support of the L&SPS division's unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) sensor and electronic attack programs. He is also overseeing the division's cyber capabilities in coordination with the company's cyber division and is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic approach that will ensure future success for high-growth-potential business areas.

Fleming joined Northrop Grumman in 2005 as an engineering technical director on the E-2D Integrated Cockpit program and has held a number of technical, program and functional leadership positions. He most recently served as director of strategic planning for the L&SPS division.
Fleming received a master's degree in business administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a doctorate in electronic engineering from the University of Witwatersrand (Johannesburg, South Africa). He also completed the General Manager Program at Harvard Business School.
