Toyota employees won two gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal in their respective fields at the 43rd World Skills Competition, held from August 11 to 16 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In total, Toyota fielded twelve representatives across seven fields, with contestants hailing from India, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, and the United Kingdom.

Commenting on the results, President Akio Toyoda said: "Brazil was the location for our first overseas production facility, so it's safe to say that our relationship with the country is a particularly meaningful one. I am extremely impressed by how our young engineers?the future of the company?have displayed their skills so impressively.
