OREANDA-NEWS. The deflation rate in Georgia made 0,2% in July 2015 as against July 2014, told in the National Statistics Office of Georgia “GeoStat”.

In the reporting period, transport prices increased by 0,4%, while those in the healthcare sphere – by 0,6%; prices in the sphere of hotel, cafe and restaurant services – by 0,7%. Meanwhile, foodstuffs and soft drinks prices dropped by 0,8%; public utilities services – by 0,1; in the communication sphere – by 0,3%. In the reporting period, alcohol drinks and tobacco prices, as well as those in the education sphere remained unchanged.

The inflation rate in Georgia made 4,9% in July 2015, as against July 2014. Over the reporting period, alcohol drinks and tobacco prices increased by 11,7%; foodstuffs and soft drinks prices - by 7,1%; service at hotels, cafes and restaurants - by 5,1%; in the healthcare sphere – by 7,3%; in the education sphere - by 3%; public utilities services - by 0,4%; in communications sphere – 0,1%. At the same time, prices in the transport sphere dropped by 0,8%.
