BMW kept Russian sales at last year's level in July
Russian dealers of BMW in July sold 2180 cars against 2178 units of the previous year. The result of brand for the first seven months was 16,688 vehicles, which is less by 23% than a year ago. In July, it was sold 126 MINI cars (-17%), since the beginning of the year - 813 cars (-16%), informed the press service of BMW Group Russia.
"Undoubtedly, the situation on the market is not easy right now - it shows the sales figures in recent months. But on the whole we are optimistic”, - says the CEO of BMW Group Russia, Elena Smirnova. – “We have some very strong models that even in a crisis show amazing results. First of all, it is a line BMW X, which has just replenished by BMW X1 of the second generation. Also on the market there are coming new BMW of 1 and 3 Series and fans of MINI waited for the next generation of JCW. In addition, in the private screening of the new BMW 7 Series in Moscow, we have seen a very positive response of key customers, and we even have fear that we cannot fully meet the initial demand for this model. Of course, we continue to work to strengthen the dealer network, introduce new products, technologies and services”.
