OREANDA-NEWS. SOGAZ JSC - the key member of SOGAZ Insurance Group - resumed the reinsurance program for aircraft hull insurance and civil liability of aircraft owners and air carriers. The total capacity of the obligatory hull insurance was USD 50 mn, with liability reinsurance worth USD 1.25 bn.

"Reinsurance limits remain at the level of the last year. The programs are valid for one year worldwide and include, among other things, coverage of war risks. Obligatory contracts help to ensure full protection of our customers - carriers and owners of aircraft fleets of all sizes," said Dmitry Talaev, Executive Director and Member of the Board of SOGAZ JSC.

Risks are reinsured by international companies rated "A-" or higher by S&P.

SOGAZ Insurance is the largest Russian aviation insurer with the total volume of hull insurance and aircraft owner liability insurance of about RUB 2.4 bn in 2014. The company is a member of the Russian Association of Aviation and Space Insurers (RAASI).
