OREANDA-NEWS. Sberbank has updated its Sberbank Online mobile application for owners of smartphones that run iOS, Android or Windows Phone operating systems.

The new version of the application lets users quickly and easily transfer money to Visa and MasterCard bank cards issued by other Russian banks, as well as to Sberbank clients by simply entering the card number.

"Our goal is to provide clients with a user-friendly service for transferring money," commented Rostislav Yanykin, Director of the Bank Cards and Cash Services Department at Sberbank. "Now all Sberbank debit card holders can make transfers to Russian banks via the Sberbank Online app. Every month our clients perform more than 600,000 transfers via the Sberbank Online internet bank and self-service devices. The addition of this feature will make transfers even more mobile and popular."

Sberbank clients can easily transfer money to each other using the mobile application: all you have to do is select the receiver from your address book or specify their card number. Transfers can be personalised by adding your avatar and a message for the receiver.

The new version of the mobile application also allows users to save and send transaction receipts.

"More than 6 million people actively use our Sberbank Online mobile application," commented Svyatoslav Ostrovsky, Head of Sberbank's Bank XXI Department. "We are sure that more people will start using the application thanks to these new and often requested features."
