Bank of Astana says agency Standard & Poor's upgraded bank's credit ratings to level "B", outlook "Stable"
OREANDA-NEWS. Bank of Astana JSC (Almaty), whose securities are
officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE
with the following press-release of August 4, 2015:
"... Bank of Astana is pleased to announce the decision of international rating agency Standard & Poor's to upgrade the long-term credit rating of the ban k from "B-" to "B" with a stable outlook, as well as to upgrade the short-term rating of the bank from "С" to "В".
As it is said in the S&P report, the decision of the upgrading of the credit rating of Bank of Astana JSC was influenced by the bank's increased equity, substantial trust from key national companies deciding to become corporate depositors, as well as launch of retail products which positively influenced the bank's deposit portfolio".
