OREANDA-NEWS. August 05, 2015. It is necessary to carry out 25 clauses of the action plan in the field of energy provided by a group of international experts by the end of the month. The Energy Ministry shall promptly submit to the Government appropriate decisions in order to approve them on August 5, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated this at a meeting of the crisis energy staff.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk has informed that an international expert mission, which consists of 26 experts, 14 out of which represent the governments of the United States, Canada and the European Union, operated during the month in Ukraine at the request of the Government to analyze the situation in the energy sector.

A report of the international energy mission of experts was previously submitted to the Head of Government last week.

On behalf of the Government of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has thanked the governments of seven countries "for their professional experts who have prepared probably one of the most in-depth reports on the state of the Ukrainian energy sector over the past two decades."

"We have endured last winter. And it also with the support of our western partners, who provided us with recommendations that were adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. This year, I consider, the situation is much more complicated than the previous," he emphasized.

The Prime Minister accentuated that according to the report, "there are two scenarios – bad and even worse": "A bad one – at temperatures below 5 degrees Celsius, and very bad – at minus 20. According to the expert’s report, at temperatures lower 5 degrees Celsius we lack coal of A and G rank in the amount of 7 million tons, at lower 20 – 11 million tons."

A team of international experts, as reported the Head of Government, has provided proposals regarding an action plan in the energy sector: "The action plan contains 41 points, with 25 activities to be implemented in August. Until August 15 essential calculations should be made - starting with balance and ending with specific forecast concerning who, what and how will be delivering".

Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized that he demands from the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine to submit to the Government the following day a plan how to execute these 25 points: "On Wednesday they will be voted as a priority issue".
