Monique Chan Named CEO for BMO Private Bank Asia
OREANDA-NEWS. BMO Financial Group today announced the appointment of Monique Chan as CEO, BMO Private Bank Asia.
In this role, Ms. Chan will be responsible for growing BMO's private banking business in Asia and building strong collaborative partnerships within BMO across the private banking, Capital Markets and Global Asset Management lines of business. She will report directly to Myra Cridland, Head of BMO Private Banking, with additional regional reporting to Albert Yu, Chief Executive Officer Asia, BMO Financial Group.
Ms. Chan joins BMO Private Bank Asia from Edmond de Rothschild Group, where she was CEO and Head of Asia, responsible for developing both the private banking and asset management businesses in the region. Prior to this role, she held various senior management positions over a 15-year career with HSBC, including Chief Executive of HSBC Private Bank's Hong Kong branch and Chief of Staff in Asia.

"Her knowledge of the wealth management business in Asia, combined with her client-centric approach and experience building high-performing teams, will be an asset to BMO's private banking arm in the region."
Ms. Chan holds a BA from the University of Hong Kong and an MBA from the University of New South Wales. She is active in the community, serving as Honorary Treasurer and Member of the Board of Children's Thalassemia Foundation and Vice Chairman of Resource Counselling Unit.
Ms. Chan will assume her new role with BMO Private Bank Asia on August 3.
