Largest Armenian Retailer Initiates SAP Implementation
OREANDA-NEWS. SAP company, a leader in the corporate applications market and retail business, and Erevan City, a leader in the Armenian retail business market, have announced their plan regarding the upcoming implementation of SAP HANA-based solutions complex comprising the best sector wide platform in its class - SAP for Retail, SAP CRM Loyalty Management solution, SAP BI for business analytics, and SAP F&R forecasting system.
The company is faced with the challenging task of creating an all-new information space for the fast-growing retail chain, the majority of the SAP solutions of which will be integrated in the Armenian commercial sector for the first time. Chosen as the integration contractor is the SAP Company's golden partner Norbit (Lanit, CG).

Erevan City is a chain of 14 supermarkets, 5 of which are located in the country's capital of Erevan. The company deals with the stock of over 40,000 different product labels and constitutes a significant portion of the retail business market. It is placing a particular emphasis of contemporary client service technology and stock management.
The modernization of the retail business' IT infrastructure, decided to be undertaken by Erevan City's management, owes to the fact that the solutions currently utilized at the company do not provide the efficiency and flexibility necessary for business processes, limiting the company's growth and not allowing them to emerge on the level of customer service that is necessary in a highly competitive market. The company believes that the innovative SAP tools will allow them to implement a customer-oriented strategy for the chain, increase the business' profitability, and create the groundwork for further growth.
SAP integration will provide Erevan City a solution for business areas, such as expanding the possibilities of the loyalty management program, automating management of the stores' stock and products, and moving and placing the products out for display, significantly reducing the amount of operations necessary to be manually completed in addition to raising sales analysis efficiency and planning purchases. The integration of new, additional solutions is also under way in order to significantly speed up the preparation of various records forms, i.e. management and inspection body records. Furthermore, Erevan City plans to use contemporary means of business analysis data implemented in industry solution SAP for Retail as much as possible to monitor key sales indicators in real-time detailed down to each individual customer.
According to the project's plan, Erevan City's integration of the SAP solutions will be in effect as of August 2016 with 100 employees in Erevan City's new information systems.
