OREANDA-NEWS. In accordance with a supplemental agreement to the framework government contract for West Moscow transport infrastructure development and upgrade, concluded between the Moscow City Construction Department and Mostotrest in October 2012, Mostotrest will build a segment of the Northwest Throughway southern section between Mosfilmovskaya Street and Aminevskoye Avenue.

Specifically, as part of this new construction phase, Mostotrest will build a three-level traffic interchange at the intersection of the Northwest Throughway and Aminevskoe Avenue, which will be a six-lane main overpass running through Aminevskoe Avenue for over 700 m, with 20 m high supports and four directional exits, including a right-turn exit from Aminevskoe Avenue to the Northwest Throughway (toward General Dorokhov Street). In addition, Mostotrest will build an eight-lane overpass over a length of 600 m, with 20 m high supports and two exits from the Northwest Throughway to Mosfilmovskaya Street. Total project value: RUB20.8 billion (including VAT). Scheduled completion: April 2017.

The new section of the Northwest Throughway will be a major street with through traffic, connecting General Dorokhov Street and Mosfilmovskaya Street, and providing access to the Moscow Ring Road (MRR) via General Dorokhov Street.

In addition, Mostotrest will rearrange the existing and build new communication and utility lines in the construction area.

The framework government contract for West Moscow transport infrastructure development and upgrade (in particular, Skolkovo Innovation Center transport infrastructure development) envisions phased construction under corresponding supplemental agreements. Currently, construction of the following segments of the Northwest Throughway southern section is ongoing under the existing supplemental agreements:

· Leningradskoye Avenue – Mnevniki Street (via Narodnogo Opolchenya Street); Leningradskoye Avenue – Marshall Zhukov Avenue. Scheduled completion: August 2016

· Skolkovskoe Avenue – MRR; Mozhaiskoye Avenue – MRR, with exit to Ryabinovaya Street and including Vyazemskaya Street and Vitebskaya Street. Scheduled completion: February 2016

· General Dorokhov Street (from Aminevskoye Avenue) – MRR. Scheduled completion: November 2015

· Ryabinovaya Street. Scheduled completion: November 2015

· Aminevskoe Avenue - General Dorokhov Street interchange. Scheduled completion: December 2017

· Traffic interchange at the intersection of Aminevskoye Avenue and General Dorokhov Street. Scheduled completion: February 2016.

The Northwest Throughway will provide a link between North and South Moscow and will relieve the city center.
