OREANDA-NEWS. St. Petersburg plant Toyota in the I half of 2015 has produced 17,845 Toyota Camry cars – it is less by 6.7% than the previous year (19,129 cars). The press service of the company informed about it the agency "AUTOSTAT", by noting that currently the plant is in normal operation, five days a week in two shifts.

All Toyota Camry cars, which sold in the dealer network in Russia, are produced locally. Sales of Camry in the Russian market for six months of 2015 was 15,280 vehicles (-5.6%), which provided a model of 33% of total sales of Toyota. As noted in the "Toyota Motor", Toyota Camry continues to lead in terms of sales in the segment D / E in the Russian car market - its share in the segment of business sedans reached a record 36.6% (+ 11.4% against 2014) and it is the best half-year result in the history of the model in the Russian market. Toyota Camry is also one of the most popular corporate vehicles: the share of Camry in corporate sales in its segment was 35% in January - May 2015. In terms of total sales of model for the I half of 2015 the corporate clients have share of 28.6% of sold cars Toyota Camry: 4366 business-class sedans have become part of the corporate parc of companies in Russia.

As previously reported, by the end of 2015 the plant "Toyota Motor" in St. Petersburg plans to double its capacity from 50 thousand to 100 thousand cars a year.
