Panamanian DIYers Fleet Customers Welcome Quick Parts Stores
OREANDA-NEWS. July 30, 2015. Two upscale communities in Panama are home to the first standalone Quick Parts stores in that country.
Both retail outlets are operated by Ford dealer Distribuidora David. Located in Calle Primera, Parque Lefevre, and the Transistmica section of Panama City, the retail outlets carry Ford- and Motorcraft-branded parts, Ford-branded accessories and Ford-branded merchandise. As with other Quick Parts locations, competitive-make parts will also be available if no Motorcraft application exists.
The two new stores serve different audiences; one is geared toward do-it-yourselfers while the other serves fleet customers.
Distribuidora David has been selling Ford and Lincoln vehicles in Panama City since 2003. B.J. Dodds, dealer operations manager, Caribbean and Central America, says the dealership’s principles compel it to go beyond simply selling parts. “Distribuidora David is committed to providing exceptional service, and for them this includes educating their clientele on the importance of using Motorcraft parts.”
To accomplish this, Dodds says, Distribuidora David holds seminars for fleet customers. “They’ve held three so far in Panama City and more are in the works. They do an excellent job of explaining the safety benefits of using genuine Ford parts and the company’s warranty commitment.”
Ford and its dealership partners open Quick Parts outlets in areas with limited parts availability in order to provide a market presence for retail, wholesale, fleet and installer customers.
The two newly opened stores join a third that was opened by Ford Cincuentenario as a joint Quick Parts/Quick Lane facility in the Parque Lefevre section of Panama City earlier this year.
