OREANDA-NEWS. Boryspil International Airport State Enterprise has repaid the loan funds and loan interest in the amount of UAH 663.5 mln to the banks and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine for 6 months of 2015. The sum has increased 2.7 times compared to the same period last year.

Within 2006-2012 the funds were raised by the Airport in currency for infrastructure development. Debt reimbursement, under the conditions of hryvnya devaluation, is a high financial burden due to exchange rate difference.

Boryspil Airport currently takes steps in early loan redemption, which became possible due to financial and economic amelioration for the first half of 2015.

As a reminder, for the first time in 3 years the main airport of the country has ended the first half-year period with profit of about UAH 200 mln. Though loss for the January-June period of 2014 amounted to UAH 116.4 mln. The loss recognized in the first half of 2013 in the amount of UAH7.1 mln.
