OREANDA-NEWS. July 29, 2015. UTair Aviation continues consecutive implementation of its development program for electronic services and IT-technologies, providing passengers with opportunities to save considerable time making pre-flight arrangements.

The extended functionality of self-service kiosks at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow is the latest in a series of steps in this program. Now, passengers can check in and select seating simply by placing the bar code of the itinerary receipt under the scanner. The system automatically identifies the passenger, the flight number and date with no additional verification required.

Passengers checking in with the UTair mobile app can now use self-service kiosks to print out a boarding pass or change the previously selected seat. To do this, passengers need only to place the bar code or QR code on the screen of their mobile device under the scanner and follow the instructions. Checked in passengers can hand in their luggage at special Drop-off points at the airport.

“UTair Aviation continues its effort to perfect the quality of its services by introducing modern IT-solutions and other integrated solutions,” said UTair – Passenger Airlines President Oleg Semenov. “We aim to increase the capabilities of our electronic services to make the pre-flight routine more convenient for our passengers. The extended functionality of UTair self-service kiosks allows our passengers and those accompanying them to save considerable time before the flight.”

In the near future the service will be available at other airports in the UTair network.

Passengers can also check-in for a flight, select seating and print their boarding pass at the UTair official website www.utair.ru or via UTair mobile app. UTair mobile apps for iOS and Android offer user easy access to UTair’s online services and can be downloaded from the App Store and Play Market.
