OREANDA-NEWS. July 29, 2015. Internationally recognized rating agency Standard&Poor`s has affirmed the long term and short term credit ratings of Belarusbank in foreign currency and local currency at ‘В-/С’, outlook stable.

Belarusbank’s business position is characterized as “strong”. The bank’s “strong corporate and retail franchise in Belarus allows it to maintain a sizable and stable domestic depositor base”, the agency wrote in a report. According to S&P, Belarusbank’s funding is assessed as “above average”, and the liquidity position is “adequate”.

Earlier Fitch Ratings affirmed the foreign currency Long-term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) of Belarusbank at ‘B-/B’ with a stable outlook.

International credit ratings are viewed as reliable independent assessment of Belarusbank’s credit profile. Solid ratings prove the bank’s transparency and financial solvency. They facilitate transactions on the debt capital market and help attract investments.
