OREANDA-NEWS. July 29, 2015. Kaspersky Lab today announced the release of the latest versions of its flagship security solutions for home users – Kaspersky Anti-Virus, Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Total Security. The latest solutions protect what matters most to consumers – their privacy, data, digital identity and money – across PC, Mac and Android devices. With new features like Private Browsing, Kaspersky Lab is providing advanced protection of consumers’ online privacy.

These new solutions are important given that the recent Kaspersky Lab Digital Amnesia study showed that today’s consumers are depending on connected devices and the Internet as a tool for remembering. In addition, with an increase in tracking capabilities of browser activities, search history and device location, many consumers are concerned about the type of information that is being shared about their online activities. With increasing dependency on devices and rising concern about privacy, Kaspersky Lab is introducing its Private Browsing feature. The new capability removes such data from Internet traffic and reports any blocked requests to the user via a dedicated plugin (which is available for Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome). Unlike tools that may prevent consumers from being identified via cookies, the Kaspersky Lab technology guarantees that this data will not leave the device.

Another feature from Kaspersky Lab detects and reports any attempts by freeware of adding extra extensions to a consumer’s device. Change Control* allows the user to regulate any attempts to change their browser home page, alter the default search engine, install extra plugins or modify network system configurations without their consent. Once reported, the user can then decide to permit or block the change. In addition, the updated Privacy Cleaner tool helps remove traces of user activity from a Windows computer, including the browser history, list of the latest documents opened and more.

“Today’s consumer is constantly accessing the Internet from a variety of devices and they want to know their privacy, data and money are protected while online,” said Justin Priestley, head of consumer sales North America, Kaspersky Lab. “At Kaspersky Lab, we know everyone needs the ultimate protection on every device to safeguard against the ever-evolving cyber threat landscape. That’s why our latest security solutions for consumers include new privacy protection capabilities along with our award-winning technologies to help secure PCs, Macs and Android devices.”

The newly updated product line includes an updated user interface and is compatible with Windows 10. It is also built on the award-winning advanced technologies that ranked higher in more independent professional evaluations than any other vendor’s products. The company’s solutions were awarded a top three finish in 71 percent of tests.

In a world of increasingly sophisticated online threats, Kaspersky Lab strongly recommends consumers to regularly update their security products to the newest versions in order to ensure the latest protection advancements are in place. All Kaspersky Lab consumer products include free automatic updates and upgrades, which can be managed remotely via personal My Kaspersky account.
