US propane stocks expected to rise by 1.219

OREANDA-NEWS. July 29, 2015. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) is expected to report a 1.257mn bl build in US propane inventories for the week that ended 24 July, according to an Argus survey.

The 15 market participants called for a build ranging between 300,000 bl to 2.8mn bl. The wide range comes after the EIA reported a much smaller-than-expected 308,000 bl build in nationwide inventories and a draw in stockpiles along the US Gulf coast.

Market participants said exports were not as robust last week, which likely left more propane in storage at Mont Belvieu.

Spot propane prices weakened in more liquid trade ahead of the EIA's data. LST propane shed 0.875? from the previous session's midpoint and ended the session last traded at 39.75?/USG.

EPC propane settled out the session valued at 38.5?/USG, at parity with the previous day's midpoint.

Conway, Kansas, propane markets traded heavily early on Tuesday, before liquidity thinned midmorning. Prices were weaker day-on-day at 30-31.375?/USG. at/tdf
