The Boeing Company, VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation and the Ural Federal University announced Strategic Partnership contract conclusion
The parties will be collaborating in scientific and research spheres in the field of development, production and implementation of new titanium alloys and technologies. The results of this collaboration are targeted to increase of VSMPO efficiency and competitiveness. Partnership also involves training as well as in-process training of production specialists with apprenticeship and exchange studies for students and research and engineering employees participating in the agreement.

VSMPO and Boeing are bound together with long-term partnership in research, development and implementation into production of titanium alloys and technologies.
"UrFU and VSMPO-AVISMA have worked together on research projects for quite a long time; many of those have been successfully implemented into production of titanium which was also intended for Boeing – our partner company – said Mikhail Voevodin, CEO, VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation. - And I am assured that this agreement will let us utilize the unique and mutually supplementing technical and research capacities of VSMPO, UrFU and Boeing to offer newer and more quality solutions to our clients."
VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation participates in scientific and research projects regarding development of new titanium alloys based on previously concluded agreements with UrFU.
"We are facing the two important tasks, – pointed out Victor Koksharov, the principal Ural Federal University. – Firstly we facilitate high class scientific and research works including analysis and testing of newly developed titanium alloys and technologies. Apart from that we clearly see our educational goal: to prepare competent, qualified specialists".
