OREANDA-NEWS. Moscow Domodedovo Airport reiterates its full interest in an objective investigation into the circumstances of the terrorist attack carried out on 24th January, 2011.

It is worth pointing out once again that there is a prejudicial judgment by the Court of the Moscow Region as of 11th November, 2013 which rules that death of people was directly caused by malicious criminal actions of terrorists.

Court orders have established that the security system at Domodedovo Airport was compliant with requirements of the legislation in force at the time of the terrorist attack.

According to the ruling by the Presnensky Court that has taken legal effect, there are no grounds to impose liability to compensate damages for physical harm on the airport on the basis of Art. 1079 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. In other words, the airport does not have to bear pecuniary responsibility for the harm that was inflicted as a result of criminal actions of terrorists.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport will continue to maintain its position of full and thorough compliance with requirements of legislation.
