Fitch Ratings has published a recent report: 'Colombian Subnationals' Tax-Collection Dashboard' explaining how some externalities have stressed the Colombian economy and how some measures could affect tax collection at the subnational level in the short and medium term.

The Dashboard report covers topics such as: challenges associated with the current state of the Colombian macroeconomic performance, such as stagnant industry and high dependence in construction, the possible elimination of some regional governments' monopolies, and the effects of the new anti-smuggling law on the subnationals' finances. Fitch does not expect large-scale changes in Local and Regional Governments' ratings over the short term.
