OREANDA-NEWS. Transaero Airlines has been named Best Economy Airline, Europe, by Business Destinations, UK magazine for business and corporate travelers.

The winners of Business Destinations Travel Awards are determined upon the results of voting of customers for their favorite products on the magazine's website and choice of the editorial team based on comparison of the nominees' achievements on certain criteria.

Transaero launched its services in 1991. It is Russia's second largest carrier, ranked amongst the top 35 largest airlines in the world and top 10 airlines in Europe in terms of passenger turnover.

The airline operates flights on more than 200 routes across Russia and in Europe, Asia, the Americas and Africa.

According to JACDEC international research center, Transaero is the only Russian airline to be included in the top 20 safest airlines in the world.
