OREANDA-NEWS. Aeroflot PJSC (Moscow Exchange ticker: AFLT) is pleased to note the publication of two authoritative independent international rankings confirming it remains on track to deliver ahead of schedule on its goal to be a European top-five and global top-20 airline by 2025.

Air Transport World’s annual rating of airlines ranks Aeroflot 21st by passenger traffic among global majors in 2014, and inside the top 20 by RPKs for the first five months of 2015, in 18th place. Meanwhile, the World Airline Rankings published by Airline Business place Russia’s flagship airline group fifth in Europe by revenue and 23rd globally.

Strategy 2025 calls for Aeroflot to be a top-five European airline and among the global top 20 by passenger traffic (a key operational indicator for the sector) and revenue.

Aeroflot this week announced operational results for 1H 2015, with Group passenger traffic up 14.0% year-on-year at 17.9 mln and RPKs of 44.5 billion, up 8.7%.
